Relevant Theory
Despite a growing body of empirical research, refugee economies remain largely under-theorised. What, if anything, makes the economic lives of refugees distinctive? Our thinking has been influenced by a range of ideas within development economics. From economics, we draw upon literature relating to behavioural economics, new institutional economics, identity economics, and multi-dimensional poverty. But we have also been influenced by work in economic anthropology and economic sociology.
